Wow. Has it really been 10 months since I last posted? It seems like so much has happened and I’m not even sure where to begin. I finished my last year of school, broke up with my partner of four years, and planned a charity ball. I rushed a service fraternity (and made it), had a few nervous breakdowns, and met a lifelong friend. Heck, I even cruised the Caribbean!

If you have been following me on Instagram (@xblue_unicorn), you saw that I never really stopped crafting, but I did take long breaks and left many projects unfinished. Honestly, I probably haven’t finished a crochet project since February and even that took weeks because of my school/work/organization schedules. Getting some of my groups (like Tarleton Quidditch) to do craft projects throughout last semester helped me from completely losing my mind.

My post graduate life hasn’t been as exciting as I hoped it would be. Though, having time to take a break from constant activity and actually sleep has been wonderful. Last weekend I was able to go to the Scarborough Renaissance Festival and have a great time with my best friend, Alice. I even have gotten back into crocheting and taking commissions.

I’m currently looking for work in the Austin and DFW area and hope to move closer to the fall when my current lease lets up. Until then, I’m going to enjoy the rest of my summer working through my craft supplies. (I mean I don’t want to have to move a lot of stuff!) Right now, I’m working on a Kirara doll for a client. I’m also hoping to continue with the “Pinned It and Did It” and “Throwback Thursday” series I was working on last summer.

Hope everyone else can stay cool and crafting during these hot months!
